Welcome to our Dressmaking Classes for all skill levels! We offer weekly classes designed for both beginners and advanced learners, ensuring everyone finds the right fit for their skill level.
In addition, we provide specialized pattern cutting classes to enhance your sewing expertise.

Weekend Beginners Dressmaking
Always wanted to learn how to make your own clothes? This friendly, hands-on weekend class is perfect for absolute beginners—no experience needed!
What you’ll learn:
• How to take accurate body measurements
• Tracing and understanding a pattern
• Cutting fabric correctly
• Step-by-step construction of a basic t-shirt
By the end of the weekend, you’ll go home with a Shirt you made for yourself!

Skirt Pattern Drafting
Design and create a perfectly fitted skirt tailored to your own measurements in this hands-on dressmaking class.
You’ll begin by drafting a personalised pattern block, then create a toile to test the fit and make any necessary adjustments. From there, you’ll adapt your pattern into a A-line skirt and learn how to construct a fully lined garment with a neatly inserted invisible zip.
This workshop is ideal for those with prior dressmaking experience who are confident using a sewing machine and following garment construction techniques.
What to bring:
Sewing machine
1m of inexpensive fabric for toile
1.5m fabric for your finished skirt
1m of lining fabric
10cm invisible zip
Presser foot for invisible zip
Thread
Pins, scissors, and basic sewing kit
Lunch

You’ll draft your own pattern based on your measurements, incorporating darts for a more refined fit.
A toile will be made to test and adjust your pattern before moving on to construct your final garment.
This workshop is designed for those with prior dressmaking experience who are confident using a sewing machine and working with garment construction.
What to bring:
Sewing machine
1.5m of inexpensive fabric for toile (an old bedsheet would do)
1.8m stretch fabric for your finished T-shirt
Suitable needle for stretch/jersey fabric
Thread
Pins, scissors, and basic sewing kit
Lunch

Jeans Master Class
Create your own pair of perfectly fitting jeans in this intensive 3-day workshop.
You’ll begin by drafting a trouser pattern block to your measurements, then develop it into a jeans pattern tailored to your shape. A toile will be made to test the fit, allowing you to refine and adjust your pattern before cutting into your denim.
Over the three days, you’ll learn essential techniques for working with denim and achieving a professional finish.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a custom-made pair of jeans!
Dressmaking experience is essential.
What to bring:
Sewing machine (suitable for sewing denim)
1.5m inexpensive fabric for toile
2m denim for your finished jeans
Thread (including topstitching thread if desired)
Denim needle(s)
Pins, scissors, and basic sewing kit
Lunch
